Socialites head south for Longines luxury dinner
Another of the year’s party highlights took place in December down in the other city as Swiss watchmaker Longines celebrated the launch of its newest timepiece, the Conquest Classic, with a chic dinner at artistic power couple David and Yuge Bromley‘s refurbished ballroom in Melbourne’s Prahran.
Familiar faces from Sydney and Melbourne’s social scenes enjoyed free-flowing champagne and a three-course dinner as they got a sneak peek at the Bromleys’ place, which boasts Victoria’s longest continuous hallway and features Bromley’s prized private art collection.
Australian Dynasty star Maddison Brown was the VIP of the night, while other guests included WAG Nadia Bartel, celebrity stylist Jess Pecoraro, and Los Angeles-based actress and former Neighbours sweetheart Stephanie McIntosh, who is reprising her role for the show’s 35th anniversary next year.
Ten Pieces take to the pool for Resort 20 runway
The spectacle of Bondi’s iconic Icebergs pool transforming into a runway is hard to forget. In May, restaurateur turned fashion designer Maurice Terzini and partner Lucy Hinkfuss unveiled their latest collection for punk label Ten Pieces right on the waterfront.
“The brand’s love of music, artistic expression and creativity is evident in Cosmic Runner,” Terzini said at the time. “Inspired by the attitude and styling of the disco freak eras gone by I’ve drawn on own experiences as a teen in Italy during the late ’70s.”

As VIP guests took their places inside the pool in the coveted “FROW” (front row and others perched on the balcony above, models descended from the restaurant and made their way along the sides of the space, and eventually into the emptied-out pool.
Fashion media, buyers and celebrities assembled for a unique show which had tourists on the nearby coastal walk chattering about all the well-dressed folk at the pool.
As the show wrapped, guests made their way upstairs for an afternoon of cocktails that carried on well into the afternoon – and evening. The show was the perfect ending to a very busy fashion week.
