1. Nourishing face masks

One of the biggest hits during the pandemic was the use of face masks. Even though people face packs and sheet masks are nothing new the need surged during the pandemic. With mask acne wreaking havoc on our skin and beauty acting as a form of self-care, almost all beauty brands have started introducing face masks and packs in their beauty lines. This is one beauty product that has definitely made its presence be felt in our beauty kit over the past year. Whether it’s store-bought or homemade with natural ingredients, have become an essential part of everyone’s skincare routines and one of the most followed beauty trends during the lockdown.

2. Serums and facial oils

With personal grooming has appeared to have taken a back seat, beauty consumers focus has shifted more towards skincare. With many choosing to forgot makeup and focus on healthy skin, face serums and oils have become a major part in shaping the skincare industry even more so. Facial oils and serums have excellent properties to provide nourishment to give your skin a glow from within. Brands are constantly innovating and introducing new kinds types of face serums to keep up with the demand. With a major focus being on exfoliating serums, anti-ageing serum, brightening serum, and different types of facial oils such as anti-pollutant, anti-acne, and superfood facial oils.

3. Eye make-up products

With masks becoming a daily necessity during the pandemic, the focus had switched from bold lips and to stunning eye makeup looks. Because once you have your mask on that’s what’s visible and pulls focus to make an impression. Following the trends, brands have been pushing out existing and new products that accentuate eyes from their makeup line. Like new mascaras, fake lashes, brow products, eye shadow and most importantly colourful eyeliners.

4. Home spa kits

Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, there has been an increase in the sales of home spa kits as salons and spas were shut down. However, thanks to social media many beauty influencers from Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, started giving tutorials on things like easy manicures and pedicures at home, facial hair removal methods, and DIY spa days just to name a few. With the need in the market for more at home or convenient services, the influx of home spa kits has come like a blessing in disguise! Now they’ve become one of the most essential and loved beauty products or subscriptions to look out for until things go back to normal.
